Some of BY INMA Digital planners include extra templates and blank sections designed to help you adapt the planner to your own planning style. The combination of both allows you to customize, expand, and complete your planner without being locked into a single system.
What are extra templates and what are they for?
Extra templates are additional pages included in the planner but not part of the main planning flow. They are meant to be used only when you need them.
Common examples include:
- Notes pages
- Lists
- Workout log
- Brainstorming
- Project planning
- Gratitude pages
You can use them as a complement to your existing planner or as building blocks if your planner has a simpler structure.
What are blank sections?
Blank sections are areas of the planner without a predefined purpose. They work as a flexible space where you can:
- Write freely
- Group templates by theme (projects, notes, study, personal)
- Create temporary sections you can ignore later
- Add content that doesn’t fit into monthly or weekly layouts
They are key to turning any digital planner into a truly personal tool. You can also view them as if you had a digital notebook inside your planner.
The most practical way to use both is to copy extra templates and paste them into the blank sections. This lets you keep the main planner structure intact while adding only the pages you actually need.
Important note about navigation
While you do have access to the original blank sections through tabs or built-in links, the pages you paste behind a section cover are new and are not included in the original navigation system.
This means:
- Section tabs will take you to the section cover
- They won’t jump directly to the pages you’ve added behind it
You’ll need to access those added pages:
- By swiping forward within the section
- By using the thumbnails/page overview menu in your app
- By creating a custom index that links directly to specific pages within the section
If you don't know how to copy and paste pages or create a custom index, here are some tutorials on how to do it with some of the most commonly used note-taking apps. If you use a different app, I recommend checking out its help and resources page, where you'll usually find tutorials to help you.
