How to add custom colors to a digital planner

Adding custom colors in GoodNotes

  1. Select the Pen Tool.
  2. Slide across the color bar.
  3. Tap on the “+” icon and pick any new color from the custom palette.
  4. Choose a color from the swatches or color wheel.

Adding custom colors in Noteful

  1. Select the tool you want to use.
  2. At the end of the toolbar, you’ll see three colored circles.
  3. Click on any of them and select “Wheel.”
  4. Click “+” to add a custom color.
  5. Click the eyedropper icon in the upper-right corner.
  6. Select the color you want from the screen.
  7. To remove a color, simply click on it and click “Remove.”
  8. If you click on “Style” and enable “Custom Style,” you can associate that color with a pen thickness and create a custom style. If you don’t associate it with any thickness, the saved color will be applied to the thickness you choose in the writing tool.

Adding custom colors in Noteshelf

  1. Select the Pen Tool.
  2. Slide across the color bar.
  3. Tap on the “+” icon and pick any new color from the custom palette.
  4. Choose a color from the swatches or color wheel.

You can also enter a hex code (I include the hex codes used in the design in some products; you can find them on the first page if you’ve purchased a product that includes them).
